I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch, No 123, of the 25th of March last, containing an account of the progress of British Columbia since the date of your last general Report, and enclosing a letter from Mr Downie stating the result of explorationswhichManuscript image which he had carried on under your sanction in Jarvis Inlet and Desolation Sound.
