Sir,
With reference to my despatch of the 30th April last respecting
the course to be pursued with reference to the intrusion of Citizens of
the United States into the Island of San Juan, I transmit to you herewith
for your information the copy of a letter from the Foreign Office
enclosing a despatch from Her Majesty's Minister at Washington with the
copy of a note which he had addressed to General Cass on this subject.
