I transmit for your information a copy of a letter which I have received from Mr J.M. Magee accompanied by several documents relative to some property left by Bernard Rice who was shot at Fort Yale in British Columbia, as detailed in your despatch No. 68 of the 8th of January 1859, and I have to request that you will cause the necessary enquiries to be institutedManuscript imageinstituted and report to me the result.
