I have the honor to inform your Grace that the total value of all articles imported into British Columbia for the Quarter ending 31st March has been 248,000 Dollars. ForManuscript imageFor the corresponding Quarter of the year 1860 it was 215,625 Dollars, shewing an increase in the present year of 32,375 Dollars.
2. I have also the honor of enclosing for your Grace's information a comparative statement of Customs Revenue collected at New Westminster for the Quarter ending ontheManuscript image the 31st day of March 1860 and 1861 respectively, shewing an increase on the latter Quarter of £967; and I have further to inform your Grace that there has been a marked increase of trade in British Columbia since the beginning of the present month.
