In reply to Mr Elliot's Letter of the 18th Instant, I am commanded by the Lords Commissoners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you that the Paymaster General has been authorized to pay to Messrs Cox & Compy on behalf of Col Moody RE, the sum of £300 being the amount due to that Officer for Salary at the rate of £1,200 per Annum, for the Quarter ended 31st December last, as Commissioner of Lands & Works in British Columbia.
