Abstract
Despatch from London.
Newcastle acknowledges receipt of Douglas's despatch which included,
with some explanatory remarks, a copy of a Resolution of the Municipal Council of New Westminster respecting a delay which has recurred in forwarding [Newcastle] the Memorial of the Council for the grant of a subsidy to a Mail line of Ocean Steam communication with British Columbia.

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 77
of the 7th of December enclosing, with some explanatory remarks, a copy of a Resolution of the Municipal
Council of New Westminster respecting a
delay which has recurred in forwarding to me the
