I have the honor to transmit to you a copy of a letter from the Board of Treasury relative to the issue of Colonel Moody's Salary as Chief Commissioner of Works in British Columbia.
I have to request that you will acquaint Colonel Moody that in the present instance the amount due to him will be paid to his Agents on the production of a certificatewhichManuscript image which has been furnished by this Department but that it will be necessary that he should hereafter procure and send to this Country a certificate duly signed by an officer or Magistrate residing in the Colony.
