I am desired by the Commissioners of Inland Revenue to request that you will have the goodness to inform me of the amount of the Salary and emoluments, as Stipendiary Magistrate in British Columbia, received by Mr Peter O'Reilly, of the late Revenue Police Force under this Revenue; and whether such salary and emoluments are paid from Imperial or Colonial Funds.

According to the latest Blue Book (/62) of B.C. Mr O'Reilly received £300 per annum as Magistrate and £100 per annum for Meeting the Road tolls—£400 per annum—all from Colonial funds.
