I have laid before the Queen the Ordinance passed by the Legislature of British Columbia in February last, which was enclosed in Sir James Douglas' Despatch, No. 9 of the 29th of February last entitled No. 3 of 1864 An Ordinance to apply thesumManuscript image sum of One Hundred and thirty-five thousand six hundred and thirty nine pounds sixteen shillings and seven pence sterling, out of the general Revenue of the Colony of British Columbia and its Dependencies to the Service of the year One thousand eight hundred sixty four, and I have the honor to inform you that Her Majesty has been pleased to confirm and allow it.
You will communicate Her Majesty's decision to the inhabitants of British ColumbiainManuscript image in the usual manner.
