Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 32 of the 5th of September, and to inform you that the British Columbia Estimates for the present year which you have enclosed have met with the approval of Her Majesty's Government.
The Lords CommissionersofManuscript image of the Treasury have however requested me to observe to you that the Abstract B Estimate of Expenditure does not shew the amount actually expended in the year 1862, and that the Abstract A Estimate of Revenue shews the Approximate Revenue 1863 instead of the actual Revenue 1862, and their Lordships request that in future the established form of preparing the Estimates of each year may be complied with.
With regard to the Ordinance No. 30 of 1864, to which your Despatch relates, I beg toreferManuscript image refer you to my Despatch No. 58 of this days date.
