Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 5,
of the 31st of January last stating the reasons which had induced you to
postpone the appointment of Mr. W.G. Cox to be Police Magistrate and
Assistant Gold Commissioner at the KootenayMines
