Sir,

I am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 24th inst. transmitting, by desire of the Secretary of State for the Colonies, a copy of an Ordinance entitled An Ordinance to amend the Law relating to Joint Stock Companies (British Columbia), and, in reply, I am to request that you will state to Mr Secretary Cardwell that my Lords see no objection to the confirmation of this Ordinance by Her Majesty.
