I had the honor to receive Your Grace's despatch No. 17
of the
2 April 1867, authorizing the payment, under certain
circumstances of a gratuity of £20 to
WilliamBowden Bowden, as a settler
in this Colony.
2. I beg to enclose
Bowden's receipt for the money, and a
medical certificate shewing that he is in good health and
fit to become a settler and I have to request that the
War Office
may be requested to repay the sum of twenty pounds (£20) to the
Crown Agents to the credit of
British Columbia.
