Dear Sir,
I much regret that the telegraph authorities at New York should
not, as yet, have replied to my sevice message inquiring whether a
message can be sent direct to British Columbia.
As soon as I receive an answer, I will send you a copy.
Meanwhile I am informed by Mr
Alexr C. Wilson of the New York Associated Press that the telegraph
extends to VictoriaVancouver's Island. The rate from New York is
$11.45 for ten words exclusive of address and signature, and $0.92 for
each additional word.
