Kennedy states he will pay a sum he owes to the Commander of the Sparrowhawk and apologizes for not doing so earlier. Blackwood’s minute suggests informing the Admiralty. Irving’s minute notes that the despatch and Kennedy’s cheque were enclosed by Irving.

I have the honor to acknowledge the recei[p]t of Your letter of
yesterdays date, in reference to a sum of £10.4.0 due to the
Commander of H.M. Ship Sparrowhawk.
I will cause this Sum to be immediately paid, & beg you will
accept my apology for having omitted to do so at an earlier period.
