I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 8
of the 21st of December last relative to the appropriation of the fees
paid on Marriage Licences.
I approve of your suggestion that these fees should be allowed to
accumulate in the hands of a public Officer to be devoted to charitable
purposes.
