Abstract
Despatch from London.
In reference to Seymour’s despatch, which enclosed a letter from Watson asking for remuneration regarding extra tasks for the Royal Marines stationed at San Juan, Buckingham requests Seymour to forward a report from Young on Watson’s application, which was accidentally omitted from the earlier despatch.

Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 57 of the 5th April enclosing a letter from Mr. Watson late Treasurer of Vancouvers Island requesting remuneration for the additional work and responsibility cast upon him bymakingManuscript image making payments and keeping accounts of the extra pay and allowances granted to the Royal Marines stationed at San Juan.
Your despatch purports to enclose a report by Mr. Young on Mr. Watson's application but the report has been accidentally omitted, and I have to request you to forward a copy of it by the first opportunity.
