Buckingham informs Seymour that the Publications presented by the Commissioners of Patents to Vancouvers Island and British Columbia were forwarded in two packages on the Mercura.

Sir,
I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 78 of the 1st of July and to inform you in reply that the Publications presented by the Commissioners of Patents to Vancouvers Island and British Columbia were forwarded in two packages per ship"Mercura"Manuscript image "Mercura" on the 10th May last and were addressed respectively to the Officer Administering the Government of Vancouver Island and the Officer Administering the Government of British Columbia.
