Sir,
I am directed by the Secretary of State for War to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 6th Instant and to acquaint you in reply for the information of the Duke of Buckingham & Chandos that Sir John Pakington has consented to the postponement of the claim amounting to £141.1.3 for Stores supplied by this Department for the Service of the Artillery Volunteers in British Columbia, until such time as the Colony shall be in a position to liquidate it.
