I have to call your attention to the letter which was addressed
to you from this Department on the
28th of June 1866, requesting you
to favor
Mr. Secretary Cardwell with your opinion with respect to the
British Columbia Ordinance No. 10
of of
1866 entitled "An Ordinance
conferring certain privileges on the
Williams Creek Bed Rock Flume
Company," and especially as regards the exclusive right of way
conferred by it upon a particular Mining Company.
In compliance with your request you were permitted to withhold
your report on the Ordinance until your return to
British Columbia.
As however no Despatch has been received from you on the subject
I I
have to call your attention to the above papers, and to request that
you will furnish me without further delay with a Report on the
subject.
