Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 32 of the 29th of April, forwarding copies of the speech with which you opened the session of the Legislative Council of British Columbia on the 21st of March, of the reply of the Council and of your rejoinder.

I have also to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 35 of the 2nd of May, forwarding a copy of the Speech with which you prorogued the Council on the 1st of May.
