I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch of the
18th
March last, No. 21, in which, acting on the advice of your Executive
Council, you recommend that Ordinance No. 10, of
1866, conferring
certain privileges on the
Williams Creek, Bed Rock
Flume Flume company,
should be left to its operation.
As I infer therefore that the Ordinance has been in force for
two years without inconvenience or complaint, I have to convey to you
Her Majesty's Gracious Confirmation and allowance of it.
I must however observe that your report on the Ordinance need
not have been delayed for so long a time.
