Buckingham acknowledges receiving Seymour’s despatches regarding British Columbia uniting
with the Dominion of Canada,and informs Seymour that the same correspondence was forwarded to
the Government of Canada.

Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 45
of the 14th of May, forwarding a copy of a Resolution passed by the
Legislative Council of British Columbia during its recent Session on the
subject of Union with the Dominion of Canada.
