Abstract
Despatch from London.
Buckingham conveys Her Majesty's Gracious Confirmation and allowance of the British Columbia Ordinance No. 8 of 1868 entitled An Ordinance authorizing the Sale of the Real Estate of Intestates and for other purposes and remarks on why the fifth section of the ordinance was allowed and under which conditions the ordinance is allowed.

Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No. 61 of the 15 June and to convey to you Her Majesty's Gracious Confirmation and allowance of the British Columbia Ordinance No. 8 of 1868 entitled "An Ordinance authorizing the Sale of the Real Estate of Intestates and for other purposes."
I have to observe that the FifthSectionManuscript image Section of this Ordinance is only allowed to stand on the strong recommendation of the Attorney General, and that I should not be prepared to recommend for sanction so novel a clause in cases of estates of any larger value than that fixed by the Ordinance.
