I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's
Treasury to state, for the information of
Lord Granville, with
reference to your Letter of the
25 ult, that the
correspondence inclosed in your Letter of the
22 June last
relating to the expenditure on certain Works at
S. Juan, was
communicated to the War Depart.
My Lords apprehend that the works referred to formed the subject
of a claim preferred by the Auditor
General General of the Colony in an
Account rendered by him for the Quarter ended
31 December 1867
to the amount of £1037.13.7, which has been repaid to the Colony.
