I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 33 of the 8th December, enclosing an extract from the Minutes of Council in reference to the cases of three Indians convicted of murder and sentenced to death, and reporting what decision has been finally arrived at in each case.

You ask for instructions as to reporting similar cases for the future, and in reply I have to inform you that as reports of Capital Sentences are transmitted from the majority of the Colonies, I am of opinion that the course hitherto adopted in British Columbia should be adhered to.
