I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 26 of the 15th March on the subject of the floating debt of the Colony.
You will have learned from my Despatch No. 13 of the 23rd February that your proposals for the consolidation of thatDebtManuscript image Debt are not in accordance [with] the more complete scheme suggested by Mr. Julyan. If you have introduced the Bill, to which you refer in the 3rd paragraph of your Despatch, you will probably see the desirability of amending it.
