My Lord,
I have had the honor to receive Your Lordship's Circular
Despatch of the 13th March, transmitting for consideration and

2. I have examined these Tables and it does not appear to me
that I could make any suggestion of value for their improvement,
or modification. They seem comprehensive in character,and

simple in arrangement. And I am quite alive to the circumstance
that uniformity is essential for purposes of comparison.

3. I presume, however, that these Returns will scarcely be
applicable to this Colony except as a part of the Dominion of
Canada, and so far as they may be used in the other BritishNorth
North American Provinces.
