Sir,
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 7
of the 19th February, forwarding the Address to the Queen from the
Legislative Council praying for the admission of B.C. to the Dominion of
Canada.

that this address has been laid before the
Queen, who has been pleased to receive the same very graciously, and
will take it into consideration when a similar address from the Canadian
Parliament shall have been received.
