The minutes discuss whether Moresby’s report should be forwarded to the Hudson’s Bay Company.
Of the three enclosed documents, the first is a forward of the letter and enclosures
to Barclay, the second is Moresby’s report regarding the Sovereignty of Queen Charlotte’s and Vancouver’s Island, and the third is Moresby’s order to Kuper to return to the Northwest Coast.
Moresby to Kuper, 22 May 1852, directing him to return to the Northwest Coast until the latter part of January to "protect the property of British & Colonial Subjects as well as for the
preservation of National rights & private interests in HM Dominions of Queen Charlottes Island."
