Memo, Barclay to Merivale (Permanent Under-Secretary)

Mr Barclay presents his Compliments to Mr Merivale and begs to acknowledge the receipt of his note of the 10th Inst accompanying a packet for the Governor of Vancouver's Island.
As it will be some months before the HB Company send a ship to Vancouver's Island the Governor and Committee wish to know whether they may forward this packet and some others, lately sent to the HB House for transmission, as they do their own despatches, through the Post Office.
