I have to transmit to you the copy of a Petition to the Queen, together with the copy of a Memorial addressed to the Duke of Newcastle by certain Inhabitants of Van Couver's Island complaining of the composition of the recentlyestablishedManuscript image established "Supreme Court of Civil Justice," and of other matters affecting the good government of the Settlement, and I have to desire you to furnish me with your early report upon these complaints.
