In justice to this gentleman I ought to circulate his farther evidence received to
day, which makes his case somewhat better; still it cannot be said to be cleared up.
3. John Work to Cooper, 15 December 1856, agreeing to accept the rent of the two properties "provided you give sufficient
security that the rent be paid over to the Company as it becomes due," but the balance
remaining must be charged with interest.
6. Cooper to J.S. Helmcken, 12 January 1857, authorizing him to act as his agent for selling Bilston Farm for not less than £1500 and Thetis Cottage for not less than £1000.
