With reference to my [VI] despatch of the
14 of October, I have
to inform you that the
Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade
have reported to me that the Harbour Regulations which you have
promulgated appear to them to
be be usual and proper for the purpose of
preserving order and regularity in the mooring and berthing of vessels
and for security against fire, and that the Coast regulations seem
calculated to secure the efficiency of the Boats and to prevent
smuggling.
