Hammond transmits a copy of a telegram
received yesterday from Her Majesty's Minister at Washington reporting that General Scott had been ordered to Embark for the North Western Frontier, where he would take the command over General Harney.

I am directed by Lord John Russell to transmit to you, to be laid
before His Grace The Duke of Newcastle, a copy of a Telegram received
yesterday from Her Majesty's Minister at Washington reporting that
General Scott had been ordered to Embark for the North Western
Frontier, where he would take the command over General Harney.
