I am directed by Lord John Russell to transmit to you, for the information of His Grace the Duke of Newcastle, a copy of a letter which has been addressed to The Board of Admiralty from which His Grace will learn that the suggestions, contained in your letterManuscript imageletter of the 28th Ultimo, for an increase of our Naval Force on the North West Coast of America have been carried out by Lord John Russell.
