Sir,
I have received your despatch No. 25 of the 15th of July last with an enclosure from Mr Pemberton reporting the proposed sale of certain inferior land in the neighbourhood of Victoria at a reduced price, and theManuscript imagethe intention to keep open the Cowitchin and Nanaimo Valleys for settlement.
I have to acquaint you that I see no reason to dissent from the views you entertain on this subject.
