I have to acknowledge the receipt of your Despatch No. 51, of the 26th of October relative to an attempt made by a Revenue Officer of the United States in San Juan to levy Customs Dues on the baggage of Mr de Courcy the Resident Magistrate in the Island on his return to that Manuscript imageplace from Victoria.
I approve the course you adopted in regard to this matter.
