Mr Chard has called here about this and I have told him that we have no means of knowing how much is due to Capt Henry and that the Governor has drawn on the Treasury for the pay of the Marines. Mr Chard will accordingly inform Captain Henry that he must apply to the Colonial authorities and it will be sufficient to answer his present letter to the same effect.
