I have the honor to transmit to you a copy of a letter from the
Board of Trade containing an account of expenses incurred for the
stores supplied to the Lighthouse in
Vancouver Island referred to in my despatch No. 58 of the
30th of May 1861.
I have authorized the
Colonial Colonial Agents, in the event of their
having no funds in their hands to meet the expense, to pay the sum of
356-1-11 to the credit of the vote for Lighthouses abroad as an
advance on account of your Government, and I have to instruct you to
take immediate steps for reimbursing the Agents to the above extent.
