With reference to your Despatch, No. 73, of the 14th of September, I have the honor to transmit to you the enclosed Copy of a letter from the Crown Agents for the Colonies, containing an explanation of the circumstances under which they engaged the "John Stephenson" for theconveyanceManuscript image conveyance of Stores to Vancouver. I am glad to learn from this letter that since the date of your Despatch she has arrived.
