this date I have the honor to
transmit certain Resolutions and a Report of the Chamber of Commerce
of
Victoria on the subject of union with
British Columbia.

9 March 1865, forwarding resolutions and a report passed
by the chamber in favour of union with
British Columbia, signed by
Jules David, President.
Three resolutions passed unanimously by the Chamber of Commerce
on 6 March 1865 on the subject of union, including a request that the
decision of the chamber be transmitted to the Secretary of State.
Detailed report prepared for the Chamber of Commerce and passed
unanimously by that body on 6 March 1865, in order to "place on
record the facts and circumstances that necessitate their present
expression of opinion" in favour of union and a tariff, with enclosures
(eighteen pages).
