I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to send you herewith, for the information of Mr Secretary Cardwell, an extract from a Letter of the 28th July last, No 96, from Rear Admiral The Honble J. Denman, reporting that the "Forward" had visited Barclay, and Clayoquot Sound, and the complete submission of the Ahousett Tribe—reporting also that he had supplied provisions, at the request ofGovernorManuscript image Governor Kennedy, to the exploring party in Clayoquot Sound.
