Sir,
Referring to your letter of the 23d Febry last transmitting copy of a Despatch from the Governor of Vancouver's Island requesting to be supplied with three sets of Copper Measures and also with certain Meteorological Instruments for the use of the Lighthouses in that Colony, I am directed by the Lords of the Committee of Privy Council for Trade to acquaint you for the information of Mr Secretary Cardwell that these articles have been forwarded in the "Countess of Fife" which Ship sails for Victoria on the 24th Instant.
I am to request that the enclosed Bill of Lading may be forwarded to the Governor by the next Mail.
