Sir,
I am commanded by My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you for the information of the Secretary of State for the Colonies that the sum of £33.9.0 (instead of £43.4.0 as mentioned in the letter of the 3rd instant, is due to the Officers of HM Ship "Scout" on account of Expenses incurred in Entertaining Governor Kennedy and Mr Hankin Supt of Police, on their visit to the different parts of Vancouvers Island in August last, and I am to request that you will moveEarlManuscript image Earl of Carnarvon to give directions for the corrected amount, vizt £33.9.0, to be transferred to the credit of Naval Funds in the hands of the Paymaster General.
