Bawden Bay is located in Clayoquot Sound. Bawden Bay was named after Charles Bawden, master of the HMS Bacchante, by Donald Mackenzie, who was captain of the ship. The northern point of Bawden Bay
used to be called Charles Point (also after Charles Bawden) but was renamed Bawden
Point in 1934.1
