I am directed to enclose to you herewith, for the information of the Duke of Newcastle, an extract of a letter received from Mr Douglas relative to the letter of a gentleman residing at Vancouver's Island, of which extracts were transmitted to the Governor and Committee of the Hudsons Bay Company with your letter of the 3rd November last.
