Thlik-um-chee-na is the Indigenous name for the junction of Nicholas, now Nicola, River and Thompson River. In this despatch, it is described that at Thlik-um-chee-na, or the Little Fork, and upwards, rattle-snakes, wormwood and the
cactus (prickly-pear) characterize the scene.1
