In reply to my application of the 1st

you were pleased to offer to furnish me with letters of introduction
to the Governor of the Colony of British Columbia on my submitting to you
satisfactory
testimonials—should those I forwarded warrant your doing so
I should be very thankful, Sir if you would provide me with a letter to
the Governor, as it is my intention to proceed to British Columbia with
as little delay as possible.
