I have the honor to acquaint you with reference to your
Despatch of the 10th November last No 57 that I have
received with due attention the information you have therein
afforded me regarding the previous position and services of
Captain Gosset, recently appointed Treasurer for
for British Columbia; and I
have according to your instructions furnished Captain Gosset with a copy
of your said Despatch, as a reply to the letter he addressed to you on
the eve of his departure from England.
